What is IDP and UDP?

Industry Defined Project (IDP) is a project performed by individual student or group for their last year project from industry. This is to be engaged during both semesters at industry where you are engaged for the project. The solutions to the problems and obstacles are solved by the external and internal guide.
The project assigned by industry is to be approved by the College Faculties and by GTU also. The project comprises of overcoming the existing problem to various issues faced during some work held before taking the project.

User Defined Project (UDP) is the project that a group or individual student decides to make on their own through their creativity without approaching through external sources. The UDP is to be done on your own with taking help of internal guide.

Final year IT or Computer Science projects are life changing, it is the building block of your career. Those who pay attention and work hard receives best grades as well as job offers on the go.

GTU and other technical universities have implemented a structure for final year students to have more industrial knowledge so that they can get their job easily. As you know there are two types of projects and you must be confused which one to choose.

Answer is simple, IDP is more industrial, somewhat like internship gain knowledge and work on some industry defined project whereas UDP is like working on your own idea and if your idea is viable you can do a startup after your studies.
